Short biography
Caroline Kooy Tveiten is connected to OSTRC through her work in the field of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries. She graduated as a doctor from the University of Oslo. Employed as a research assistant she developed a web-based resource related to orthopedics and the musculoskeletal system, which was awarded the prize of “Quality and innovation” by the Faculty of Medicine. She is currently employed as a PhD-student at Akershus University Hospital, and as a fellow at NiH and the Orthopedic Department at Ullevål University Hospital and Olympiatoppen. She is also team physician for a national football team, and previously worked as doctor at the Oslo Emergency Department, and she is part of the NextGen-group; a program for future physicians in Sports Medicine at Olympiatoppen. Her first publication was recently awarded the NIMF and FIAs research prize for best international publication in 2023.
