Research
My research focuses on the effect of cheese intake on bone health in cross-country skiers and biathletes. In 2021, we conducted a dose-response study with Jarlsberg cheese on skiers, to estimate the dose we should use in an extended study. I was admitted to NiH in March 2023, and Jorunn Sundgot-Borgen is my main supervisor. The data collection in the project took place from mid-April 2023 to mid-October 2023, and 59 cross-country skiers and biathletes completed the comparative study on the effect of Jarlsberg and Norvegia cheese on bone-specific parameters, bone mass, and physical performance. We anticipate that two articles from this research will be published in the spring of 2024.
The research is funded by the Norwegian Research Council through the funds for Land-based Food Industry and Tine SA in collaboration.

Short biography
