Teaching
Lecturer in metabolism.
Academic responsibility for "Metabolism" (THP204) and "Metabolic regulation" (MA408).
Short biography
PhD in 1993 from the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences, followed by a postdoc position at the University of Oslo.
Worked at the National Institute of Occupational Health (1997-2009), studying basic mechanisms regulating glucose uptake and glycogen metabolism in skeletal muscles.
Currently, the research focus regulation of carbohydrate metabolism during and after exercise; these studies includes the role of caffeine and protein intake on endurance performance. Furthermore, the effect of exercise on insulin sensitivity is studied.
