Environmental sustainability signaling in sport organizations, greenwashing, sport marketing
Short biography
Josephine is a PhD candidate at the Department of sport and social sciences. Her PhD project “Ethical Environmental Sustainability Signaling in the Sport Industry. How sport organizations can avoid greenwashing”, explores ethical dimensions of the green shift in the sport industry, through a sport marketing lens.
Josephine earned her master's degree in Sport Mangement, Politics, and International Development from Loughborough University in England, has a graduate certificate in sport coaching from the University of Denver, and a bachelor's degree from Regis University, in the United States. She spent 9 years in the US, studying, playing basketball, and working in the sport performance industry.
Today Josephine plays in the Norwegian basketball league (BLNO) and contributes as a coach developer in the Norwegian Basketball Federation. Outside of basketball she is all a strength coach at a local CrossFit gym.
