Start EndNote, open an existing library or make a new library:
- Open a library: File > Open Library
- Create a new library: File > New
Name the library and save it on the computer's harddisk (do not use cloud storage)
Go to Preferences to change settings:
- Windows: Edit > Preferences
- Mac: EndNote > Preferences
Duplicates:
Configure the duplicate control by clicking on Duplicates on the menu on the left, and tick off the boxes Volume, Issues and DOI (Author, Title and Year are already ticked off)
Display fields:
Click on Display Fields to choose what information you want to be displayed in the library: like author, year of publication and title.
Find full text:
Click on Find Full Text and tick of all the boxes. Write the following adress in OpenURL Path: http://openurl.bibsys.no/openurl
Click OK or Apply when settings are completed.
