Forskning

Professor James Rudd's research focuses on applying motor learning and motor control concepts to pedagogical design. His work contributes to a deeper understanding of how movement-based learning can facilitate physical, cognitive, and emotional growth in people of all ages and contexts.

Undervisning

Movement Sciences with a Focus on Motor Coordination and Learning: The topics include perception, coordination, perception and action coupling (behavior), and exploration as drivers of movement learning.

Students taking this course will be able to:

  • Appreciate the complexity of movement coordination and learning
  • Give an account of the main empirical and philosophical positions on the topics discussed in the course
  • Reflect on the pedagogical implications of deeply understanding movement processes

Kort biografi

Professor James Rudd specialises in movement sciences, focusing on movement learning and pedagogical design in child education and stroke rehabilitation. His work is highly regarded in the field of sport sciences and education through innovative pedagogical strategies and rehabilitation methods​. He has published over 85 original publications since 2017, with an H-index of 23 and over 17,000 citations.
