Introduction
In this module the intimate relations between body, movement and experience will be problematized and discussed. In particula, it will be explored how the experience of movement in different contexts and settings is intimately intervowen with the embodied engagement of both movement educators and movement learners, and how such experiences can be a basis for exploring movement qualities.
Learning outcome

The students will:

  • acquire an understanding of the intimate relations between body and movement in experience
  • be able to critically evaluate how changes in environment transforms experiences of movement
  • relate the key notions of the module to their own conceptions of practical work with people with disabilities
Course organization
Through reading of literature fram the phenomenological hermeneutic traditions and discussions of key topics that relate to embodied experiences in movement, the students will engage with and deepen their understanding of an experimental and explorative approach to the learning of movements in different contexts. Practical sessions where the students work to explore movement are an integral part of the course. The ways that different contexts shape the experiences of movement and learning will be discussed.
