Exchange Course Packages

NIH offer various course packages for our incoming exchange students.

Interested students must be nominated by their home institution if they want to study at NIH.

Courses are grouped into different packages. Within each course package no conflicts in scheduling and exams will occur. Students are required to take a minimum of 20 ECTS credits per semester they are attending NIH.

NOTE: It is not possible to create your own course package by mixing courses from the different course packages.

Course packages will be updated by March 1, for the upcoming fall semester. Courses for the spring semester could see changes up until October 1.

Fall semester 2024 (August-December)

Course plans for the upcoming academic year will be added once they are ready during the spring semester.

Bachelor level course packages

Exercise, health and performance (Bachelor level)

You choose three out of the five courses when you complete your semester registration in August. 

Outdoor studies (Bachelor level)

Due to several field trips, these courses cannot be combined with any other courses, and students must take all three courses. You will need to bring your own equipment.

Sport Management and coaching I (Bachelor level)

One of the courses above can be replaced by one of the following online courses:

Master level course packages 

Exercise, health and performance I (Master level)

Sport and social sciences (Master level)

And either one of our online courses or:

Sport medicine (Master level)

Sport psychology (Master level)

Exchange students signing up for master level courses must have completed a relevant bachelor degree or equivalent. Please note there are limited number of students in each course, and NIH reserves the right to rank the applicants.

Spring semester 2025 (January-June)

There may also be course specific prerequisites. Check the course descriptions.

Exchange students signing up for master level courses must have completed a relevant bachelor degree or equivalent. Please note there are limited number of students in each course, and NIH reserves the right to rank the applicants.

 

Courses taught in Norwegian

Exchange students who can document a good working knowledge of a Scandinavian language (Level 3 at a university level or equivalent) can choose courses taught in Norwegian. Contact the International office at NIH if you would like more information about available courses taught in Norwegian.

Course schedule

The course schedule for the entire upcoming, academic year will be published mid-July.

All courses are co-taught with Norwegian students.
