Short biography

Derrick Okpoti Charway is a PhD-research fellow at the Department of sport and social sciences with the project Sustainable Development Goals through Sport? An Analysis of Policy Implementation in Ghana.

Derrick had education from the University of Ghana (2005-2009), University of the Western Cape, South Africa (2014-2015) and Seoul National University, South Korea (2016-2018) where he graduated with BA. Psychology with Sociology, Post Grad. diploma in Sport for Development and MA. Sport Management respectively.

Derrick came to the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences with a 10-year experience in project/sport management, sport for development and research. He first worked at the Sport Directorate of University of Ghana as head of Research and Project Unit from 2009 to 2019.
