Short biography
Mats is associate professor at the Department of Teacher Education and Outdoor Studies (50%) and at the NIHs Center for Teaching and Learning (50%). In his doctoral project, Mats investigated learning and teaching in the teacher education program at NIH. The aim was to strengthen research that illuminates learning processes in teacher educators' teaching and professional development.
Mats holds a master's degree in sports science from NIH with learning and coaching as the special field. The title of his master thesis is 'Learning through video feedback: an action research project on how to use video to contribute to team development'. I
After his master's degree, Mats also has worked as a physical education teacher in high school. He has over 12 years of experience as a team handball coach.
