Admission requirements

  • General admission requirements (GSK) to higher education in Norway (international applicants are exempt from the Norwegian language requirement)
  • Internship agreement with an exchange program such as the NIF Youth Sport Exchange Program (YSEP) or with other sport/aid organizations that use sport as a tool for development.

NIH must approve the exchange program unless it is organized by a previously approved partner. 

Please note that changes in the admission requirements can occur prior to February 1 in the admission year.

When can you apply?

The application portal opens February 1. The deadline to apply is April 15. You apply via Søknadsweb.

Rules for ranking applicants

You are ranked on the basis of all your grades in the admission criteria.  If several applicants have the same score, the oldest applicant is ranked first.

Tuition fee

Students with citizenship from countries outside Norway, the EU/EEA and Switzerland, must pay tuition fee to NIH. International exchange students from partner institutions are exempt from the tuition fee.
