Kort biografi

Marte Bentzen er førsteamanuensis ved Institutt for idrett og samfunnsvitenskap.

Hennes doktorgrad hadde fokus på variasjon i velvære og utbrenthet hos trenere i toppidretten. Etter endt doktorgrad jobbet hun som forsker ved NIH på tematikken fysisk aktivitet som en del av et helhetlig tilbud innen psykiatrisk behandling.

I dag er Bentzen involvert i ulike forskningsprosjekter om tematikker relatert til vedvarende motivasjon, opprettholdelse av aktivitet og restitusjon i kontekster som idrett og paraidrett, rehabilitering og arbeidsliv.

En rød tråd som beskriver Bentzens undervisnings- og forskningsinteresse, er hvordan miljømessige betingelser påvirker opplevelsene til den enkelte i form av belastninger og motivasjonell støtte. I kontekster som idrett og yrkesliv, er det viktig at den enkelte deltager opplever mestring og selvbestemmelse for å ha lyst og energi til å være i konteksten, søke utfordringer og oppleve glede ved den, for å kunne prestere optimalt over tid.
